This 4-week mini-class is for you, because everybody can train BJJ! This mini-class will teach you the basic positions, movements, and some of the techniques involved in a regular BJJ class in a non-competitive, supportive, low-pressure environment filled with other complete beginners, just like you.
Topics / Items to be Covered
– Basic movements involved in BJJ like shrimping, break falls, and takedown entries
– The basic positions of BJJ like mount, back mount, side mount, guard, knee on belly
– Basic BJJ techniques like takedowns, passing guard, and transitioning positions
– Basic BJJ submissions like chokes and arm locks
Eligibility
– No former training experience necessary
– Ages 14+
Dates + Time
– Mondays / May 5, 12, 19 & 26 / 6PM-7PM
Venue
– Lakeside Ave Studio
Details / What to Bring
– Wear comfortable workout clothing
– BJJ is trained barefoot, so be prepared to leave your shoes/socks at the door!
– Each weekly session is around 1 hour in length (a total of 4 hours of training)
– Maximum class size of 10 participants
